And lets not forget her poetry.

Love

Love...
a bud
that springs forth
and grows, ripening
into a flower.

Don't cry For Me

Don't cry for me when my time has come
laugh, rejoice, and sing a song.
Don't cry for me when my life is done
love, remember, and have some fun.
Don't cry for me when I am gone
  life's too short to grieve
        so long.

By Patty Smith. (pattyisreal)

Don't Cry For Me has been published in the Poetry Guilds anthology in 1998
